Country coverage
The visa office provides immigration and visa services to clients in Austria and seven other European countries including: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Slovak Republic and Slovenia.
Note: Permanent visa applications from clients currently residing in Kosovo can also be lodged at the Australian Embassy in Belgrade.

Permanent entry visas
Partner, prospective marriage, child, remaining relative, carer and aged dependent relative visa applications from applicants usually living in one of the countries in the country coverage list above are lodged and processed in Vienna.
Applications for general skilled, business skills, Distinguished Talent (subclass 124), Former Resident (subclass 151) and parent subclasses are lodged and processed in Australia.
General skilled migration applications are lodged at the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre.

Temporary entry visas
Visitor, working holiday, student and other temporary entry visa applications from applicants usually living in one of the countries in the country coverage list above are lodged and processed in Vienna, unless otherwise indicated below.
Passport holders from Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovak Republic and Slovenia who are travelling to Australia for up to three months for tourism or business purposes are eligible to apply online for eVisitor.

Croatian passport holders who want to visit Australia for less than three months and passport holders from Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovak Republic and Slovenia who want to visit Australia for more than three months are eligible to apply online for a Tourist visa (e676).

Sponsored Family Visitor visa (subclass 679) applications must be lodged in Australia by the sponsor. 679 Sponsored Family Visitor visas will be processed at one of the Sponsored Family Visitor processing centres.

If you are sponsored by an Australian employer for a subclass 457 Business (Long Stay) visa, you may lodge your visa application online or at an Australian office of the department. If you are sponsored by an overseas business, you can lodge your visa application with the Australian Immigration Office responsible for applications in your country.
