Prevents, diagnoses and treats medical and surgical conditions of the feet, including those resulting from bone and joint disorders, muscular pathologies as well as neurological and circulatory diseases.

The Australian Podiatry Council is the only professional representative for practising podiatrists. More than 80% or practising podiatrists are members.
In order for overseas-qualified podiatrists to be registered they are required to undergo examination procedures established by the office of the Australasian Podiatry Council.
