Steps to take

The following table outlines the steps you need to take to find out about skills assessment for your occupation.

Step Action
1. Find your occupation either by using the A-Z listing of occupations or the Skills recognition search facility. More information is available under searching for your occupation.
2. Follow links to relevant organisations for skills assessment and state licensing and registration requirements for your occupation.
3. Use one of the supplied methods of contact. More information is available under contacting Australian organisations by telephone.

Searching for your occupation

You can search for your occupation in two ways:

  • You can browse for your occupation by selecting the first letter of its title from the A-Z listing or by searching for an occupation by its part title by using the Australian Skills Recognition Information (ASRI) search facility. Both the A-Z listing and search facility are listed below or can be found on the front page of the ASRI information.
