The following table outlines the steps you need to take to find out about skills assessment for your occupation.

Step Action
1. Find your occupation either by using the A-Z listing of occupations or the Skills recognition search facility.

2. Follow links to relevant organisations for skills assessment and state licensing/registration requirements for your occupation.
3. Use one of the supplied methods of contact.

Searching for your occupation

You can search for your occupation in two ways:

  • You can browse for your occupation by selecting the first letter of its title from the A-Z listing or by searching for an occupation by its part title by using the Australian Skills Recognition Information (ASRI) search facility. Both the A-Z listing and search facility are listed below or can be found on the front page of the ASRI website - http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/

When you have found the relevant authority to contact regarding skills recognition for your occupation you may choose to contact them by telephone. The following table will assist you in making long distance calls.
