Steps to take

The following steps outlines what you need to do to find information about your nominated occupation and how to obtain a skills assessment.

Step 1: Search for your occupation

  • You can browse for your occupation by selecting the first letter of its title from the A-Z listing, or
  • by searching for an occupation by its part title by using the search facility.

Both the A-Z listing and search facility are listed below or can be found on the front page of the ASRI information.

Step 2: Read information on your nominated occupation

Read information on your nominated occupation, including skill level and entry level requirements. Follow links to relevant organisations for skills assessment and state licensing and registration requirements for your occupation.

Step 3: Contacting Australian organisations by telephone

When you have found the relevant authority to contact regarding skills recognition for your nominated occupation you may choose to contact them by using the information on the ASRI pages.
