Grants Information
The department administers the following grants programs:
- Diverse Australia Program
- Settlement Grants Program
- Multicultural Affairs (FECCA)
- Citizenship Support Grants Program
- Sustainable Regional Settlement Program
- National Action Plan – Community Grants
- One-off grants.
Grants are provided to recipients to assist them to achieve their individual goals while furthering the policy objectives of the Australian Government.
Included in all reports are details describing the portfolio, agency title, program title, sub-program, recipient, purpose, value, approval date, grant term and grant funding location.
The reports include all grants issued from 1 January 2009 onwards. Grants remain listed in the report for two years from the date of signing.

Diverse Australia Program - Community Grants
The Diverse Australia Program is primarily a community-based educational initiative for all Australians and aims to address issues of cultural, racial and religious intolerance by promoting respect, fairness, inclusion and a sense of belonging for everyone.
Settlement Grants Program
The Settlement Grants program delivers services which assist clients and communities in the Settlement Services Target Group to become self-reliant and participate in Australian society as soon as possible after arrival.
Multicultural Affairs (FECCA)
Multicultural Affairs aims to promote the benefits of cultural diversity. This includes policy advice on multicultural affairs including community relations issues.

Citizenship Support Grants Program
The Citizenship Support Grants program is to provide support to people who require special assistance to prepare for the Australian citizenship test.

Sustainable Regional Settlement Program
The Sustainable Regional Settlement program is a small funding initiative established to improve the sustainability of humanitarian settlement in regional areas by building capacity in regional towns.
National Action Plan – Community Grants
The National Action Plan, developed in 2005-2006, responds to the particular pressures Australian communities are facing as a result of increased intolerance and the promotion of violence arising from events around the world and in Australia since 2001.
One-off grants
Grants that are not associated with one of the department's programs.
