Part 2 - Program performance reporting

Introduction

This report reflects the portfolio program structure as at 30 June 1997, with five operating Divisions within the Department:

  • Parliamentary, Legal and Research;
  • Overseas Client Services;
  • Australian Client Services;
  • Multicultural and Citizenship; and
  • Corporate Strategy and Services.

The Immigration Review Tribunal, the Refugee Review Tribunal and the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters Ltd report separately.

Funding and reporting is on a program basis, dividing the Department's activities into eight programs:

  • Migration Framework;
  • Economic and Family Entry;
  • Humanitarian and Refugee Resettlement;
  • Client Access and Services;
  • Legal Framework;
  • Multicultural and Citizenship;
  • Compliance and Enforcement; and
  • Corporate Management.
