Access and Equity Annual Report 2001

The Access and Equity Annual Report reports on progress in government service delivery in a way that is sensitive to the language and cultural needs of all Australians.

It draws its rationale from Australia's multicultural policy, which was updated in December 1999 as the Commonwealth Government's statement A new agenda for multicultural Australia (New Agenda).

For the first time, all Commonwealth portfolio agencies contributed to the Access and Equity Annual Report 2001 Progress in Implementing the Charter of Public Service in a Culturally Diverse Society against a set of sixteen performance indicators, which make up the new performance management framework.
