Sweeping changes to the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs (DIMA) have been outlined by Senator Vanstone in a post-Palmer Report progress update.
These improvements are based around the three themes of making the department more open and accountable, ensuring fair and reasonable dealings with clients and providing the organisation with well-trained and supported staff.
