The Citizenship by Grant Application Process
Before your interview:
You can expect us to:

direct you to our websites for information, or send you forms or general information within 3 working days of your request

if you apply for citizenship on-line through our website:
-
give you a Transaction Reference Number (TRN)

provide access to your payment information and the status of your application through the online citizenship inquiry facility

if you apply for citizenship by mail:
-
aim to acknowledge your application within 7 working days of receipt
-
our acknowledgement will give you a reference number and contact details for our Citizenship Information Line

if you apply for citizenship in person:
-
provide you with a receipt or receipt number if you pay a fee or charge

aim to provide you with written confirmation of your interview appointment within 7 working days of the appointment being made

aim to see you within 15 minutes of the time of your interview appointment.
We expect you to:

appreciate that it is the role of our client service staff to help you find relevant information, not to provide you with advice or counselling on your eligibility

obtain all relevant information and supporting documents so you can lodge a complete application
-
let us know as soon as possible if you cannot come to an appointment we have made with you.
