Clients using Internet Explorer (IE) 8

Clients using Internet Explorer (IE) 8 as their internet browser are receiving an error message when they are attempting to download PDF files for Entitlement Checks from the Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) system. This also applies to audio files when used as a part of the forgotten username or password process.

You are encouraged to use an alternative browser, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or a later version of IE if they are experiencing this problem.

Downloading PDFs in VEVO

Clients trying to download VEVO Entitlement Checks might be impacted by an additional issue. Users might continue to get a 'loading' message when they return to the 'Entitlement details' screen after using the 'View as PDF' function. When this occurs, users have not been able to proceed through the process.

If you are experiencing this problem, please refresh your screen and click OK when asked 'Do you want to re-load the form'.

ImmiAccount is a single point of entry into our online visa services.


ImmiAccount is an online system that will let you create, submit, pay for and manage all online visa applications in one place. It will connect you to all ​online services managed by us, including My Health Declarations, Visa Finder, Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO), and the Pricing Estimator.

ImmiAccount accepts all online applications except for Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) and Citizenship applications.

Access ImmiAccount

Anyone can access and create an ImmiAccount to submit and manage visa applications online. This includes any of the following:

  • individual visa applicants (whether you are in Australia or outside of Australia)
  • a family member acting on behalf of the applicant
  • a friend of the applicant
  • a person appointed by the applicant to assist with the application process
  • a representative of the employer or potential employer of the applicant, including a sponsoring or nominating employer
  • a representative of an organisation running an activity in which the applicant will participate during their visit
  • authorised recipient.

Create an ImmiAccount (individuals)

Individuals need to create an ImmiAccount to:

  • apply for a visa online
  • continue a saved online visa application
  • attach documents to an online visa application
  • check the progress of an online visa application.

Register for an ImmiAccount (organisations)

Organisations (including registered migration agents, education and tourist agents and sponsoring companies) need to register for an ImmiAccount to access the following services:

  • Visa Lodgement
  • Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO)
  • Organisation Account Administration.

Online visa applications submitted before 6 December 2013

ImmiAccount will affect online visa applications submitted before 6 December 2013. If you have submitted an online application before this date, you will need to create an ImmiAccount to track and manage your application or add supporting documents to it. You will need to import existing online applications into your ImmiAccount.

Finalised online applications cannot be imported into the ImmiAccount.

If you do not remember your Transaction Reference Number (TRN) you can request for it to be sent through your ImmiAccount. If your application has a Saved ID with no TRN, you will need to restart your application using ImmiAccount. Please ensure you meet the relevant criteria for your visa application before submission.

Paper visa applications

Paper visa applications cannot be submitted or imported into ImmiAccount. There will be no change to the current paper visa applications process.
