Register for an ImmiAccount

Organisations (including Registered Migration Agents, education and tourist agents and sponsoring companies) need to register for an ImmiAccount to access the following services:

  • Visa Lodgement (including sponsorship and nomination)
  • Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO)
  • Organisation Account Administration.

If you are a new user, you will need to complete the online registration form.

Note: When you have submitted the registration form you will be presented with a reference number. Please make a record of this number should you need to follow up with us.

If you have already registered and created an account, you can request access to additional services from within your ImmiAccount.

ImmiAccount services and access types

The table below highlights the services and access types that organisations may register for with ImmiAccount. Your organisation’s business requirement will determine the access provided.

Visa Lodgement (including sponsorship and nomination)

Registered Migration Agent (RMA)

  • Online visa lodgement
  • Assign applications within your organisation and manage pre-fill data for visa applications
  • Available to agents registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA)
  • Must have a valid Migration Agent Registration Number (MARN)

Education Agent

  • Online lodgement for Assessment Level two - four student visa applications
  • Available to Education Agents in China, India, Indonesia and Thailand only
  • Access to this service will be limited and subject to approval by the relevant Australian Immigration Office overseas

Tourist Agent

  • Online lodgement for Tourist (subclass 676) visa applications
  • Available to Tourist Agents in India only
  • Access to this service will be limited and subject to approval by the Australian Immigration Office in India

Other Organisation User

  • Online visa lodgement
  • Assign applications within your organisation and manage pre-fill data for visa applications
  • Available to companies that sponsor visa applicants to work in Australia
  • Must have a valid Australian Business Number (ABN)

VEVO

VEVO Client Groups and Categories

  • Check the status or entitlements of visa holders
  • Available to registered Australian organisations including RMAs, employers, labour suppliers, education providers, financial institutions and government agencies
  • Must have a valid Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • Service standard: two working days
    Note: If you have requested access to an additional service, the service standard may be longer.

Organisation Account Administration

Organisation Account Administrator

  • Create and manage organisation user accounts
  • Available to RMAs and sponsoring organisations in Australia

After you have submitted your registration form

After you have submitted your registration form, your application will be processed by the department. The service standard for processing most access requests is five working days. You will be notified of the decision by email.

If you need to follow up on a registration request you can use the Technical Support Form. Please include the registration reference number in the email.​
