Issue with residential address details in the eVisitor(651) application form
We are aware of an issue that is currently impacting some clients applying for an eVisitor.
If you select 'England' as the 'Country of residence' in the 'Personal details' page then the 'Province' drop-down list in the 'Residential address' page only allows you to select from three provinces.
If you are a resident of England, select the 'United Kingdom' as your 'Country of residence' in the 'Personal details' page. This will allow you to then select from the complete 'Province' list in the 'Residential address' page.
We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause.
Passport holders from the countries listed in the table below are eligible to apply for an eVisitor (subclass 651).
Important: We recommend that clients hold a passport valid for at least six months.
Start an application
To start an online application you will need to login to your ImmiAccount. If you do not have an ImmiAccount you will be prompted to create one.
You must add as much information as possible before you submit your application. Applications with missing information might take longer to finalise.
When completing your online application you must not copy and paste bullet points, numbering, accents etc from formatted documents into the free text fields. Only use numbers 0 – 9 and letters A – Z (upper and lower case), dashes '-' and underscores '_'.
Who is this for
|eVisitor (subclass 651)
For eligible passport holders outside Australia who want to visit Australia for tourism or business purposes.
An eVisitor application has to be completed by all family members travelling to Australia, including children.
eVisitor applications are free. There is no application charge or service fee.
Important: If you apply for an eVisitor whilst holding another visa, your current visa may no longer be valid should you be granted an eVisitor. If you hold a valid visa we recommended that you contact the department before lodging an eVisitor application.
Eligible passport holders
- Czech Republic
- The Netherlands
- Republic of San Marino
- Slovak Republic
- United Kingdom – British Citizen
- Vatican City (Holy See).
Note: You are not eligible to apply for the eVisitor if your only passport is a British National Overseas, British Dependent Territories Citizen, British Overseas Citizen, British Protected Person or British Subject passport.
Track and manage your application
You will need to login to your ImmiAccount. If you do not have an account you will need to create one to access online visa services. You can use your account to:
- continue a saved application
- attach documents
- update passport details
- change email and address details
- check progress of your application.
Note: If you submitted your application before 6 December 2013 you will need to import the application into your ImmiAccount. Unfortunately applications that were started (but not submitted) before this date cannot be retrieved.
Transaction Reference Number
A Transaction Reference Number (TRN) is a unique number assigned to each online application. You will need this to:
- track and manage your application
- identify your application when you communicate with us
- check your visa entitlements.
Australian visa label requirements
If you are granted an eVisitor you do not need a visa label in your passport. Instead, you will be sent notification of the grant by email. Please keep this notification as it describes the conditions that apply to your eVisitor.
Before you start your application you should read all the information about the eVisitor (subclass 651).
Note: If you intend to visit for medical treatment or to transit through Australia, you should not apply for an eVisitor. Medical Treatment visa (subclass 602) and Transit visa (subclass 771) will have more information about how to apply for these visas.
