Transaction Reference Number
A Transaction Reference Number (TRN) is a unique number assigned to each online application. You will need this to:
- identify your application when you communicate with us
- check your visa entitlements.
Start an application
To start an online application you will need to login to your ImmiAccount. If you do not have an account you will prompted to create one.
You should complete your application with as much information as possible before you submit. Applications with missing information may take longer to finalise.
When completing the online application you must avoid copying and pasting bullet points, numbering, accents etc from formatted documents into the free text fields. Only use numbers 0 – 9 and letters A – Z (upper and lower case), dashes '-' and underscores '_'.
|Applications must be made from outside Australia
eVisitor is available online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for applicants outside Australia who want to visit Australia for tourism or business purposes.
eVisitor applications are free. There is no application charge or service fee.
An eVisitor allows the holder to travel to Australia as many times as required within the validity period, which is 12 months from the date of issue. The maximum length of each visit is three months.
An eVisitor application has to be completed by all family members travelling to Australia, including children.
Important: If you apply for an eVisitor whilst holding another visa, your current visa may no longer be valid should you be granted an eVisitor. If you hold a valid visa we recommended that you contact the department before lodging an eVisitor application.
