Changes to online lodgement services
In early December 2013, we will make changes to our online visa lodgement services. The changes will affect all current, saved, unsubmitted online applications. If you have an unsubmitted visa application when the changes are made, you will not be able to retrieve it and you will have to start again.
If you do not want to lose your saved online visa application, we encourage you to submit it before 6 December.
Please ensure you meet all the relevant criteria before submitting your visa application.
Before you continue, you should read all the information about Employer Sponsored Workers.
See: Employer Sponsored Workers
Information about what happens to each application after lodgement is available.

Online applications can be made using a computer with an Internet connection.
Transaction Reference Number
A transaction Reference Number (TRN) is a unique number assigned to each online application. You need to record this number because you will need this to:
identify your application when you communicate with us
prepare, lodge, update and check the status of an online application.
Start an application
You should complete your application with as much information as possible at time of lodgement. Applications with missing information may take longer to finalise.
When completing the online application you must avoid copying and pasting bullet points, numbering, accents etc from formatted documents into the free text fields. Only use numbers 0 – 9 and letters A – Z (upper and lower case), dashes '-' and underscores '_'.
