Using PDF Files

We try to make our PDF files user-friendly. If you do not have a PDF reader installed on your computer, the Web Guide provides a list of free readers for download.

Most documents on this website ar provided in multiple formats. If an alternative is not available, or you would like assistance or a different format please contact us.

Saving PDF files

It is better to save large PDF files to your computer and then view or print from that copy.

There are several ways to save PDF files onto your computer:

  • rick-click on the PDF and choose either 'Save Target as...' or 'Save Link as...'
  • with the PDF file open on your screen, do one of the following:
    • go to ‘File’ and choose ‘Save As’ or
    • click on the 'Save'  icon (it looks like a floppy disk) in the top menu.

Fillable PDF forms

Fillable PDF application forms have sections that you can complete using your computer, print out and sign. This means you don’t have to print the form and fill it in by hand.

If you are viewing a fillable PDF form using a PDF reader, you will not be able to save the information entered into that form. Complete the application first and then print out a copy.
